How to grow
You can grow Sprouts and Microgreens in the SproutPearl all year round. The only difference between the two sizes of plants is care and growing time. You’ll learn how to grow them all in this guide.
SPROUTS
Sprouts are ripe after only 2-6 days.
Sprouts are harvested when they have a short root or very small leaves.
To grow Sprouts, you need Seeds + Water + SproutPearl.
Steps 1-6 show you how to grow your own fresh Sprouts.
1
MEASURE YOUR SEEDS
Sprouts need oxygen and space to thrive, so precise measurement of quantity is important.
2
SOAKING
When you buy sprouting seeds, they are dry and dormant. You start the germination by soaking seeds in water.
3
INTO SPROUTER
Once your sprouting seeds have soaked, they are ready for the sprouter where they start to grow.
4
PLACEMENT
Sprouts love to grow in light shade, as sun is too hot. Close to the sink is a good spot.
5
RINSE YOUR SPROUTS
Sprouts should be a little moist at all times. You can do this by rinsing morning and evening.
6
HARVEST YOUR SPROUTS
Once your sprouts are the right size, you can harvest, rinse and eat them in any dish.
MICROGREENS
Microgreens are Sprouts that are grown to the next stage of the plant.
Microgreens are only ripe after 12-14 days.
Microgreens are harvested after they have folded 2. or 3. set of leaves on each plant.
To grow Microgreens, you need Seeds + Light + Fertilizer + SproutPearl + Water.
Steps 1-5 (minus 6) show you how to grow the seeds for Sprouts.
Steps 7-9 explain how to grow Sprouts into the larger Microgreens.

7
LIGHT FOR MICROGREENS
To grow Sprouts into the larger Microgreens, the plants need light from an LED grow bulb from day 7.

8
EXTRA NUTRITION
Rinse the plants as usual and end each morning rinse by spraying fertilizer on the roots from day 7 until harvest.
9
HARVEST MICROGREENS
On day 12-14 you can harvest your ripe Microgreens. Rinse thoroughly after harvesting. Remove roots and eat stems + leaves.
